Cue Adam to say he bought a proficient player for a fiver and a packet of crisps last week.

Got another completely worthless all over YP.

Going to have to be very very careful with choosing how I distribute the ITS because otherwise they are going to be dog.

just about to pull now, wondering whether its worth allocating 4 sessions? then i'll have 36 in 3 weeks
Hmm, it is 8k in reality tho, so that would have been a fair chunk of money to be spending frivolously.

I expect someone out there will spend 10 ITSs on one attribute and there should be a good idea of what the ceiling level is by the time the ITSs built up

11 Chanderpaul (LFM)	22	3,808	worthless competent (b2)
Forgot to add mine, team needs a lot of improving.

Require a couple more decent batsman but I have them in my squad, they just need training sessions once Ahmed (+), Chanderpaul and Singh have popped from their current training sessions.

Got a few competent bowlers who could be popped pretty quickly if I had free training sessions.

excellent, i didn't think Higgs would sell at the price i put him on at but someone snapped him up for 80k. He's a 20yo with resp batting and comp fielding but worthless everything else

Yea it's truly amazing what amounts some people will pay for complete garbage and then you get guys who completely slip the net and are an absolute steal.

well seeing as got him as the first youth pull last week, he effectively pays for 4 more youth pulls including one with 36 ITS'

Im thinking of just getting rid of the youth academy all together, even if you get a competant or respectable player- his secondries will be terrible. And i could use the extra 20k a week and the odd 30k for repairs on buying a player

Indeed, looking through the "First Pull using ITS" thread (England sledging board) on Battrick it looks like there's a law of diminishing returns when you apply ITSs. Probably works something like this for batting/bowling (assuming you apply them to a player that had natural skill of worthless):

2 = abysmal, 5 = woeful, 10 = feeble

With less of a boosting affect on players with higher natural skill - to avoid having superb YPs and unbalancing the game, that would be my theory anyway. So basically if you get a real stinker (all worthless initial skill) after you applied 36 ITSs the worst they'll be is woefuls/feebles in all the ones you applied a reasonable amount of ITSs in (maybe higher levels for easier to train stuff like stamina and the cons). More typically you'd get the odd mediocre attribute thrown in (instead of abysmal/woeful initial skill). With the law of diminishing returns applying as the initial skills gets higher - like initial respectable primary only being boosted by 1 level by maximum ITSs and so forth.

PY, your guys must have good secondaries and stamina though, right?
Anyway, my cup match

prebbles 188a.o. from 43.1 overs
Tucker 51 (78)
Flood 42 (50)
Hignett 3/32 (10.0)
Mills 2/34 (10.0)
Fallon 2/40 (10.0)

Robertinho Select XI 1/138 from 27 (RR 5.11, RRR 2.22, Runs req 51)
Gray 60* (92)
Wolfenden 52* (69)

Cruising to victory here. They were 3/143 at one point - some good bowling from Hignett and Mills pulled it back. I think they might have GFI'ed, their ratings weren't that good leading up to this game. Either that, or we suck :D

We won by 7 wickets, some serious issues with stamina showing, though. Both Wolfenden and Gray slumped to about 60 off 100.
