A lot more dot balls and boundaries than usual in the last 10 overs of the WI v England game, wonder if they tweaked that.

I was going to say there were fewer wickets than usual as well, but we ended up losing four in the last two overs. Got to 260-8 in the end, England just lost a wicket in their first over as well, albeit the lesser of the two openers.

Heh @ England's game ratings.

I'm free for a friendly as ever, preferably at a reasonable time, ie not away to Australian/NZ/India/Pakistan teams.

On a seperate but related to Battrick note, I noticed today that Sam Vimes set up a Norway cricket federation in April (but my ignorance didn't notice) on Hattrick, and it used battrick as its homepage. It has 20 or so members, so possibly 20 or so Norwegians are playing battrick not having a clue what they're doing. :D

Is this right? :p

That'd be all right. There's 15 Norwegians currently in the Norwegian Championship, which is headed by the West Indian cup winner NorCricket United. :p

Don't think they won the cup actually, it was Borderliners in season one and Cow Shot Corner in season two. They will be promoting to div I next season though, so I'll be seeing plenty of them unfortunately.

I read somewhere that you'll be promoting to II.2, which was my league this season. I think you'll do pretty well as there are no really outstanding teams, but Banagher Knight and Cyclones both have awesome bowling attacks, and Badlands are very good as well. Shadoedale (cup finalists) are also going to be in II.2 apparently, so it'll be a tougher league than it was this season. :)

Obviously a bit thin as it gets beyond competents, I'll have a much better idea of the wages immediately after the wage recalculations. Let me know if you see anything out there that's higher.

I've got a respectable/abysmal/mediocre with wages of £1,116, I figure the mediocre keeping contributes around £100 to his wage so he's very close to proficient batting (although I'm not training him). Cuss last season was strong/feeble/worthless with wages of £2,700-odd (the feeble wouldn't add more than a few pounds to his wage) and popped in batting in about four weeks, so I figure the max for a strong is just a bit more than that.

Been waiting an hour and a half for a respectable bowler for 25k. and the bidder is offline. If anyone pinches him ill be very very angry :p

Oops. My bad. I confused them with the English cup winner (who then sold his players and gave up the game).

Hmm didn't know about that, just had a look and it turns out I bought one of his players (albeit a relatively crap one). The runner-up in the Indian cup also quit and sold his national team players...

Haha, Mcclen, this guy:
Joey Mcclen - 17 yo, BT Rating=6,122
RH Batsman, RF Bowler, competent form, sublime
(competent batting form, mediocre bowling form)
A steady player with abysmal leadership skills and worthless experience.
Stamina: woeful Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: mediocre Concentration: proficient
Bowling: abysmal Consistency: abysmal
Fielding: woeful

Went for 102,000 :D
There was a bidding war between 2 teams, until some random came in and bid 100,000. Some good luck after being backstabbed by the less handsome version of Warren Beatty, Hakon Mork.
