Boggles - 396/3 (50 overs)

Chanderpaul 7 (failed in the search for the required double century )
Moodley 161 (128)
Abdul kadir 154 (118)
Ahmed 46* (28)

The Hoppers - 99/10 (27.4 overs)

Malik 4/31
Bardle 2/15
Liyanage 2/10

Ratings are OK, still not getting Superb top order even though I have a Superb/Resp, Rem/Prof and Superb/Prof in the top three.

Boggles
Top Order: strong
Middle Order: feeble
Lower Order: abysmal
Seam Bowling: respectable
Spin Bowling: competent
Fielding: feeble

Think I'll need top morale to get my spin upto respectable and top order to superb.

Secondaries are letting you down there. I had superb with two strong/quality and a very high strong/18 (whatever it is). Morale makes a very slight difference now I think.

Matched finished in exactly 20 overs for me, as I bundled out their team for a mere 23 and chased it down in 5.1 overs.

Pretty happy about that.

Bowled my opposition out for 157, which is nice - I expected to be facing a fair bit more at one stage.

I've changed to a dusty(ish) pitch, in an effort to confirm a suspicion about John, my BTR 39k Remarkable/Qual spinner. He never seems to do well on turning pitches, and this does seem to be the case again. In fact, he finished on 10-2-35-1, taking a wicket with his very last ball.

Now, he's been taking 2-3 wickets a match this season, with an economy rate of about 2.5, on mostly seamers' pitches (mine's been green, and sides in my league seem to favour that, cracked or uneven). Admittedly, that's on v. def rather than normal (he's steady), but it's still worthy of an eyebrow.

I've given up using dusty pitches for spinners, doesn't seem to have any obvious benefits in my experience. Cracked is probably the best.

And that's the end of the match. VCC won by 10 wickets.
Fossils Rugby CC 157-10
VCC 161-0

End of Over 27: 161-0, runrate=5.96
Gill 3-0-18-0
Nosworth* 72 (88 balls)
Osman* 87 (71 balls)

another simple win.

Scores level now, and I've got 8 wickets in hand and 15 overs to play with.

I'VE WON THE LEAGUE! GET IN!

Even if I got bowled out now(!), I'd be 10 points clear with two to play.

Currently 2nd on the III-->II promotion ladder, something like 3 NRR points behind top spot. This should help - reckon I'll get +1.4 for this match.

One more win, and I think I'm guaranteed to be in Div II next season :)

I'm really hoping I end up in the same league as GM-waterhoose - he's a mate, and has pretty much been dumped out of I.1 today :(

Quite pleased with my ratings:

Top Order: superb
Middle Order: respectable
Lower Order: abysmal
Seam Bowling: superb
Spin Bowling: wonderful
Fielding: feeble

That was a TIE after GFIing last week, with very similar stats - seemingly, team fitness has very little effect on the Reporter's Summary. You lot probably all knew that already.

Hopefully that'll be enough for Div II.

Gonna lose my match this week - 255-2 after 46.1 chasing 297, but pretty pleased with the teams performance. Didn't expect to win but AKD and McEwan have got tons, McEwan's first aswell. Just the collapse to come

Yup, 272-3 after 48......

48.6 W Donnelly to Islam
That must be out! Yes! Islam shouldered arms but the ball nipped back from outside off and hit him just below the knee roll. The umpire had no hesitation and Islam must be kicking himself!
48.5 W Donnelly to Keane
That was in the air for a long time, Thysse got under it, nearly dropped it and finally cradled it at the fourth attempt. Donnelly's heart was in his mouth there.
48.4 W Donnelly to Howell
Huge yorker! He had no chance with that one, Thelwell shields his face as the stumps explode from out of the ground, Howell was rooted. Donnelly is delighted with that, and he has every reason to celebrate.
48.3 W Donnelly to Lawrence
Pitched up and swatted out towards the leg side boundary, a great catch on the ropes denies him the six.
48.2 2 Donnelly to Lawrence
On the tips of his toes and steered down to third man. Useful runs.
48.1 W Donnelly to Abdul kadir
Once he's made his way back to the pavilion maybe Abdul kadir's team mates can remind him that it is best to use your bat against balls homing in on middle stump rather than padding up, with the bat above your head. Not his finest moment...
all out 281 lost 7 for 9, 8 for 17 in all.

Lost. but there were solid contributions by the batsmen. Livera made his debut and scored 43 not out...

Yeah I'm timed out too, bit frustrating as if the games run then it appears I'll play a full strength team against Ash when I didn't want to.

Nevermind!
