Geraint Jones? ;)

Nah, Gary Pratt.

That's the guy.

Can't believe your Geraint Jones sold for as high as he did. The guy who bought him must be a fan.

No pops for me today, was quite disappointed but hopefully I'll get some for next week.

Look at this guy's wage and his skill: http://www.battrick.org/nl/playerDetails.asp?playerID=924725

What makes him a strong so low down?

Couple of interesting players on the market at the moment:

1. Isaac Lawson (41875)
RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, sublime
A cautious player with woeful leadership skills and mediocre experience.

Plays For: SkitZ
Nationality: England
Age: 22 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 266,088
Wages: £127,855 p/w
Stamina: superb Wicket Keeping: miraculous
Batting: proficient Concentration: elite
Bowling: worthless Consistency: phenomenal
Fielding: competent

Those wages would be crippling, would need to pop his batting to try get him into the England NT side to save cash.

Just means he's been trained up to strong, the wages don't update during the season.

Speaking of England NT, solid 3-31 for Whitehorne against Sri Lanka today. Amusingly enough, SL had someone score 93* from no. 9.

Gah, can't believe I forgot we've had about 10 weeks now haven't we?

Got used to the fact I'm always looking at YPs on the TM and that training wouldn't have had that much effect on wages earlier on in the season.

Strewth!

Actually, could it just be Whambo messing around, putting a half-decent batsmen low down in the order? He and Impurity definitely messed around with that sort of thing during the Beta period.

He's a strange fish, is Whambo

Looks like it. Career OD stats of the man at 9: 4,898 runs @ 119, 89 catches/18 stumpings. (Chaturanga, the number 10, averages 159).

Oddly enough, he set both of them to bowl.

I looked into this further...apparently his wife was in a car crash so he wasn't able to set a lineup. It used the default, which hasn't been changed since last season so certain players that should've been in the default lineup are no longer in the NT. England's opener Cahill got out to an abysmal bowler.

Ouch. :( Valid excuse.

Woop.

Gareth Bardle has been called up to his National U19 Squad. This will mean that he is not available for selection for any games between Monday and Wednesday inclusive.

EDIT: Sad news about Whambo though, must be a commited battrick guy to be a national coach.

Hmm, thought England U19 would have better players to choose from. Hope he does better than 1-65. :p

Oh, I should add that his wife was not seriously injured, so you can go easy on the condolences. ;)

Hmm, seems the Bardle-less U 19s lost today.

Needing 234 for victory, they were 163/2 with captain Hindle, and Knight going well, when they tumbled to 196 all out.
