Scaly (or anyone else who is in the know), are the figures that you use to calculate how to close to a pop a player is on the web somewhere?

Fired. I'm pretty sure there's a guy on CW called Matthew Pitt, can't be sure though.
That'd be me. Tarick's just directed me here. I'm not in the least bit surprised that I appear to be terrible at cricket - however, the fact that I'm Australian has me a little worried. :-O :p

Hmm I thought none of my guys were going to sell, Jungle Jumbo got Subasinghe.

28/10/2006 Sold Symon for £175000.
28/10/2006 Sold Subasinghe for £223998.
28/10/2006 Sold Crabb for £800000.

Didn't really think this out properly tbh, now that I've sold Crabb and Subasinghe I'll be a bowler short and probably won't be able to get anyone before Friday. Oh well, finances are looking decent at close to 4m now.

Well basically they're this:

Base wage is 250

Then add these for any primaries:

feeble negligible-50
mediocre 50-150
competent 150-400
respectable 400-840
proficient 840-1650
strong 1650-2950

and so on.

Secondaries are about a fifth of the above.

Hmm... No ITS YP:

Rodney Daniel (982690)
LH Batsman, LM Bowler, respectable batting form, respectable bowling form, fresh
A defensive player with strong leadership skills and worthless experience.

Plays For: Scaly Piscine CC
Nationality: England
Age: 17 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 5,603
Wages: £1,162 p/w

Stamina: worthless Wicket Keeping: abysmal
Batting: worthless Concentration: abysmal
Bowling: respectable Consistency: competent
Fielding: worthless

Will probably get him up to proficient and sell. With any luck the consistency might pop as well... sigh what a gun YP that could have been.

Least you can't say you don't get decent YPs anymore. ;)

Dave, my side against you is pretty different. I've brought in all my reserve rubbish and changed the orders about a bit...

I might be interested in that YP thinking about it. If he doesn't go for something stupidly high. Pop next week too won't he?

I've left 5 of my starting line up out, and am playing 4 spinners so it should be interesting.

It'll actually be our fourth encounter, with you 2-1 up so far, last game was in Feb though

I reckon the consistency will pop within 3-4 weeks as well without a fielding net, the maximum wage for those skills is about 1175 (I've seen profs at 1096 or something like that immediately after wage recalc, competent secondary adds 30-80). After the bowling pop I'll just sell him, won't wait around for the consistency. Since he's only medium pace he could bowl with woeful stamina without much loss in performance, so he'll be good to go next season.

I'll list him for 300k, wouldn't be surprised to see a fair bit more than that and yea he'll pop in bowling in two days definitely, so pick you favourite time to be online if you want him.

Didn't realise we'd played 3 times before, only one I can remember is the really close one which you sneaked out ages ago.

I very much doubt I'll get anywhere near victory. I have all but one of my best bats below seven in the batting order. :D

Anytime during the evenings should be good for me to purchase him as I'm usually doing uni work if you're offering to put him on then.

Though obviously I'm not going to go overboard on buying him so I'd expect someone else to get him if he's a prof. When do you reckon best time is for putting people on the TM? I usually try English morning, Aussie night.

Friday just after the games finish (5pm) and Sunday early afternoon, both English time because that's where most of the users are from. That's going by sheer volume of people tho, nothing else. I'll list him for 6:30pm on Thursday as long as that's fine, I'll be able to see how much he goes for before I tittle off to the Scrabble club.

My New Middle Order Bat!

For 63k very good deal indeed I think! Very Cheap this morning it was on the TM for some reason and I pointed out Mccammon to Jamee Jefferson will go on 1 net till the end of the year and next year will be put on a few more nets!

Now is all saving time as the allrounder hunt now starts!

Currently playing Newcastle Knights, a good side, bowling first -

End of Over 13: 79-2, runrate=6.08
Rayno 7-0-31-2
Ford* 17 (23 balls)
Malik 34 (30 balls)
Last Wicket: Weale b. Rayno 0 (FOW: 40/2)

Rayno is in great touch but Payton - an absolute disgrace - with 6-0-48-0 - is letting us down. Hopefully Mills & Macca can make inroads here, I don't like the prospect of chasing anything over 200 against this bowling attack.
