Lost pretty comfortably today, despite similar ratings. Their gun bowler just rolled through my top 4, and that was that, bowled out for 99 and lose by seven wickets.

Am about 18 places off auto promoting but I think I should auto promote if I win all games anyway so does not really matter.

Hoping to Auto - Promote :)

Playign full strength against Dav on Sunday as well :)

Had a game spookily similar to PY's. Cruised to 182 without loss in 40, then lost Staveley for a painfully slow 69 (119) - No big deal! - Then followed Greening for a career-best 129 (135) - Ah Well! - And then Bang Bang Bang, another five went in the last four overs, including a double hattrick in the last over. Noon was stranded on 33* (29), as we posted an inadequate 252/7, having looked set for 300+/1.

The oppos set off like a train, reaching 111/1 off 25, then 190/3 off 40, then Bewers, who hasn't taken a wicket in three matches, came back to take six in his next two overs, as they subsided for 233, giving me a highly improbable 19 runs victory. Bewers bagged 9/0/43/7, although Greening took the MOTM. But you have to feel sorry for their opener, who ran out of partners on 125*

Have a good weekend- I'll try to, but I feel that the coffee stirrer in front of me on the desk, is an ill portent of wooden spoons yet to befall me!

Whitehorne took probably his third or fourth double hat-trick, finished with equal-best figures of 8-35 (at least his third eight-wicket haul). Opened the bowling with him, got rid of their best batsman early and got the other seven in his second spell.

Anyway, should be able to walk this one.

End of Over 11: 56-1, runrate=5.09, reqrunrate=3.41 (188-10)
Sedgemore 1-0-1-0
Cuss* 10 (12 balls)
Ashton 22 (26 balls)
Last Wicket: Malik b. Blair 17 (FOW: 37/1)

Well, I'm playing Doobie Bombers, not NorCricket. But NorCricket are struggling more than usual in their league match if that's what you mean.

Adamc

Yeah, it'll just mean I have to win when I play them in a few weeks. I doubt they'll lose today, but I know a few teams are going to GFI them.

Heh @ Cyclones' mega-collapse. Speaking of which a team lost 6 wickets for 5 runs in my division to tie a game.

Battrick seems to be struggling somewhat (server performance-wise etc.) at the moment.

hmm. playing on a slow pitch today against napier canaries. runs aren't flowing as i would have hoped.

210/3 after 43 overs. lennon made a marathon 61 off 112, but duggan is on the verge of another 100 so 250+ should be easily attainable from here

Just looking at my match yesterday, 2 major collapse.

They lost 8/5 and i lost 8/10, pretty rediculous stuff really.

Quite gutted by my loss. since I had beat HUNSS at my ground, so i washoping for a repaeat performance, but alas, anyway, i think im going to finsih in the top half, and keep going in Div III, and get some money as well, if i can just knock out a win against anyone else in the top half.

Nice easy win on TIE. Would have liked to have kept them under 250 though.

lee is on atm, and i feel we're getting on top after they had been racing along for a bit. 118/3 through 26 overs. donald remains the key. if he goes its game over for napier. then again there isn't much batting to come after platt so if we can get rid of him it should have the same affect. surely we'll get home in this one

EDIT: platt out. just realised that when i moved wheat up to open that i forgot to change the WKing. so willetts is keeping damit 123/4

And that's the end of the match. Whenuapai CC won by 47 runs.
Whenuapai CC 249-9
Napier Canaries 202-10

Lee finished with 5/22, and Sweeney 3/39. A good day's cricket imo. Also the division leaders finally lost, just, closing the gap between first and second to 8 points. so if I can beat them next week, the title race is well and truly on.
