Viv is a great first pick. You could have waited a bit to pick up Hadlee though. There are a few who would go ahead of him I think.

All the pace bowlers who went before McGrath may have something to do with their batting. Only Ambrose's and Garner's batting were not that good (still better than McGrath) but still certainly comparable bowlers at least.
