All-Time West Indies XIs - A re-run

kyear2

International Coach
I don't make Xis that way. We never know how someone's career might have been if they played at a different position, especially opening. Middle order adjustments are fine but opening is a different task altogether. If I were making an IND all time Xi, and hypothetically my middle order was full and Kohli wasn't getting in, I wouldn't remove Sehwag for Kohli in the xi even if he opened the innings a couple of times
Once they've opened in their career, or for an opener, played in the middle order at all, I have no issues.

I've seen estimates, that he may have averaged around 28ish as a Chinaman bowler.

No way to verify that though.
I would be interested about that 28 ish number. There can be no doubt he was lot better as quick especially with the new ball. I have read as well as seen footage of him swinging the ball very well. Him as a spinner isn’t worth in these discussions imho.
