Looks perfect. Captain is the last man getting in that team though.

Gibbs is there for his big match performance. Miller also for his World Cup knockouts performance.

Of all these names, only debatable omission is Amla who has superb bilateral stats but I would prefer Gibbs type player here.

Kallis at 3 can be the rock to anchor one end in this team which has strokemakers all the way through.
I'd put Fannie DV, M Morkel, and Ntini ahead of Steyn.

Yeah I'd probably going with Fanie. I'm gonna toss Andrew Hall in the mix - very underrated ODI bowler.
One of the most versatile players ever too. A strong player for an everyday side to have, especially in a tournament where you're almost certain to pick up an injury that could throw the balance completely off.

I forgot him. Justin Kemp too was a good all rounder.

I remember his innings against India where SA was in real trouble with many wickets down. He got them to a very good score from nowhere.

SA really did have a good team between 2003-2007.
