All time ODI XI

Adorable Asshole

International Regular
Red's team has some unusual choices but this team is definitely not better
My openers are better, his middle order is slightly better, my lower order is better so is my tail.

Bowling is kind equal i have more option though

We are picking overall and Dhoni is simply better than Yuvi at finishing on a career level. Dhoni was the best LO captain ever, won three world titles without the bowling attacks the others had.

Rohit is lol but you have Watson, a minnow basher? All the second opener options are flawed but Rohit simply has the best career numbers.
What?

Dilshan, Gilchrist even Jayasuriya is better.

Adorable Asshole

International Regular
To play:

Jayasuriya
Watson
Babar
D Jones
Symonds
Bevan
Dhoni (wk & c)
Pollock
Hadlee
Bond
Murali
I personally would suggest Dilshan over Watson and Ponting/Lara over Babar and Roberts/Starc over Bond

My team gonna win lkeike 5-0 or 4-1

My openers are better, middle order is goated, Lo has much better S/R. Only ur tail is better.

Bowling is close but Klusner is much better bowler than Symonds

The XI based on a stats analysis I did, had Abbas and Hadlee in the lineup instead of Kohli and Akram.

Based on the longevity adjusted lists:

Top 2 openers - Tendulkar, Greendige
Top 3 middle order batsmen - Richards, Abbas, de Villiears
Top wicketkeeper batsman - Dhoni
Top 4 bowlers: Garner, Hadlee Muralitharan, McGrath
Top all rounder: Imran Khan (only one to feature in top 50 of both)

So an ATG XI will be:

Sachin Tendulkar
Gordon Greendige
Zaheer Abbas
Viv Richards
AB de Villiers
MS Dhoni +
Imran Khan *
Richard Hadlee
Joel Garner
Muttiah Muralitharan
Glenn McGrath

The locks in the XI are: Sachin, Viv, Kohli, Wasim, McGrath and Garner

Gilchrist/Dhoni are up for the keeper spot.

Warne/Murali/Saqlain are up for the spinner spot.

That leaves three positions. Two batting spots and the bowling allrounder.

I am going to change my XI.

Sachin
Gilly +
Viv
Kohli
ABD
Dhoni - c
Imran
Wasim
Warne
McGrath
Garner

Gilly takes the gloves and is the best to rocket as opener. Dhoni plays as a specialist finisher and captain.

The bowling attack is five bowlers of high quality, plus Sachin can give a few overs.

Imran's a better bowler than all the other bowling allrounders plus a capable lower order hitter.

Warne takes it over Murali on account of his batting, and big match speciality which is what is needed given the wicket taking ability of the others.

Can’t see the point in running two keepers when you could pick an equivalent-ish bat who’s a gun fielder.
The second XI to this is actually better

Sachin
Dilshan
Abbas
Lara
Dhoni
Imran
Klusener
Kapil
Starc
Hadlee
Murali
My team would slaughter you on fielding alone.

Openers: Tendulkar, Jayasuriya or Watson. Dilshan although has done very well as opener, lacks longevity of Tendulkar who has similar stats, and lacks bowling.
Middle order: Abbas, Viv, Kohli, ABde Villiers. Lara and Bevan misses out due to the audacity of numbers of these four players
Keeper: Dhoni. Dhoni is the best lower order hitter among keepers. He wins his place his over Gilchrist.
Bowlers: Wasim, Garner, Murali, McGrath. Pollock, Imran, Hadlee and Lillee are unlucky to miss out.

My XI would be

Tendulkar (7)
Watson (5)
Abbas
Viv (6)
Kohli
ABdV
Dhoni*+
Wasim (2)
Garner (3)
Murali (4)
McGrath (1)

A Second XI would be

Gilchrist+
Jayasuriya (6)
Ponting
Lara
D. Jones
Bevan
Imran* (3)
Dev (5)
Pollock (2)
Hadlee (1)
Saqlain (4)

Third XI

Anwar
Dilshan
Sangakkara+
Crowe
Yuvraj (6)
Hussey
Klusener (5)
Warne* (4)
Lillee (1)
Vaas (2)
Waqar (3)
