Could go this way but this seriously weakens the batting line up. While Ashwin/Kumble are both test players than Jadeja imo, I'll have him in the side for better balance

Yes, you don't lose much bowling strength by having Jadeja over Kumble but win a lot on the other aspects, especially fielding which in general is a weak point for India. Especially since Ashwin/Kumble is there as the first spinner, Jadeja is absolutely fine as a second spinner and 7th batsman. You don't need two spinners without batting (albeit somewhat ok for Ash) and fielding in the team.

Would have hoped for a leftie in the top 5 so that opposition bowlers do not bowl in the same area in helpful conditions to trouble this lineup. I hope Jaiswal matures into what I am looking for and replaces Sehwag in the long run.

It is fine to pick both Ashwin and Jadeja for all conditions. You have Kapil, Bumrah and Shami for the pitches aiding pace, Ashwin and Jadeja for spin and then Kapil, Ashwin and Jadeja together make up runs we get from two batsmen for the team. So, it is an all-round team.
