I think it's more that Flintoff' pace adds more to the side given Lohmann and Rhodes.

The other sides didn't really have many quicks either. Woolley's style seems similar to Greig's and Tate was a medium-pacer like Lohmann.

I voted for Flintoff then too by the same logic.

Presumably we’ve picked those 4 frontline bowlers because we reckon that they are good enough to bowl a side out. I reckon that they are good enough.

However 7-11 is very weak in its batting, especially as our spinner Rhodes was either a batsman or a bowler, not both at the same time. So Greig is needed at No.6 as he is better technically than Flintoff.

Woolley was (at least primarily) slow left-arm orthodox; Greig I think bowled medium pace more than spin?
