All-time Australia XIs - A re-run

Cricketer Of The Year
"Then what is your problem with the selection of Redpath over Hughes?"

They had equal votes but Hughes had more for the # 4 spot and he batted 51.6% of his innings there compared with Redpath's 10.8%.
I am purely talking about the # 4 spot and management's tie breaker which appears to ignore those facts. If we accept that decision we are then asked to vote between Cowper and Redpath for the # 3 spot when it had already been allocated to Cowper.

" does it really matter that much between a possible incorrect middle order slot in Aus F or Aus G?"

No, unless we are talking about a matter of principle about how votes are interpreted.

With due respect Sir, I feel you are a bit overreacting.

So you expect me to accept something I disagree with without making comments? It's not in my DNA.
I don't have any problem with you making comments or any of your complains for the matter. I just don't think a man like you should quit just because you disagree with a single result or isn't happy with how one round results were handled. Ataraxia just took over from CricAddict, he really doesn't have much experience in running such a poll. I think even if you are not happy with his job, you should cut him some slack. ##

Fair and rational comment. I've made my point and will continue voting once this particular team and issue is completed. Thanks for the good advice.

For Australia F, please:
  • identify who of Cowper and Redpath should bat #3
  • choose between Darren Lehmann and Andrew Symonds and Kim Hughes for who to bat #6
  • name the side's captain
For Australia G, please:
  • name one opening batter
  • name one frontline spinner (if none, indicate as much)
More votes please.

Tough to justify this as being CW consensus so long as the number of voters is below 8. If insufficient interest might finish after G or I (8 or 10 teams) and move on to the next country.

For Australia G, please:
  • choose two middle-order bats (i.e., 3, 4, 5, or 6)
  • choose two pacers to open the bowling

I think 12 teams sounds fair. 16 was too much anyways (coming from me of all people).

Not sure if Toshack is an opening bowler, but oh well that can be rectified.

For Australia G, please:
  • choose Katich's opening partner
  • choose the #3
  • choose the player to bat the lowest of those remaining, excluding the wicketkeeper (i.e. the keeper will probably bat #7 or #8, choose the player who will bat in the other one of those positions)
