Feels like an absolute waste of Sangakkara to play him as the 'keeper.

Agree that considered in isolation he's better as a specialist batsman, but the all time Asian XI has lots of atg batsmen to choose from and no atg keeper bat (Pant is on track to get there). So I think it's fine to give Sanga the gloves here.

The problem would be he would probably have to take Miandad's place and that is a huge call.

Gavaskar, Tendulkar and Dravid are locks as is Sanga with gloves so it gets really difficult after that.
