And young Murali was as good as not if better than Jadeja on the field. Jadeja as good as he, don'r even make top 5 Asian fielders. (Mahanama, Kalpage, Chandana, Dilshan , Azhar, Solkar and possibly Tillekaratne too who was only second to Solkar in short field.)

Edit: Missed Jyasuriya too. That core group made SL in to the one of the elite fielding sides in history in late 90s.

,Murali was a brilliant fielder , no doubt .. But Jadeja not only has been a brilliant fielder , but with his ' pick and throw direct hit runouts' definitely is 1 level above for me. Murali with a mere 11 batting average complete package ??? . Murali at best has been 2 dimensional ,namely bowling & fielding. Jadeja has been 3 dimensional .

Any way lets us agree to disagree . No offense, I won't be responding to you on this particular topic any more as we are not going to reach any where with that. Only wastage of time & effort will remain

A bit surprised at the backlash I am getting for not including those chronic ball tamperors in my team ... Otherwise no one can question my eleven.
Even Laxman with his complete record at the specialist 6th position is there based on pure merit. Some has questioned Pant's inclusion ...But he has already done a lot in the most challenging conditions for a subcontinent batsman in SENA + WI than the 2nd best Dhoni.

Having said that , it is a bit fun also to come across such emotional responses when there is nothing sensible to provide
