Presumably Dharmasena is jealous of Narine though right?

I mean its not like SL have ever produced a spinner of his quality.

Well this is awkward...
No it isn't

Being reported in the CLT20 has no impact on a bowler's participation in international cricket.
With the pakistan journo's practically BEGGING for Narine to be reported and accusing the ICC of bias it's no surprise the weak umpires have given him a "warning" over a "quicker ball", That at least can be addressed as he can just slow down the delivery...no "40 degrees" here sunshine :D ,

Would be surprised if Narine pitched at less than 40 degrees tbh.

Yeah it must be weak umpires in no way could St.Narine have an iffy quicker ball.

And you think that this is an acceptable resolution? You have no desire to see him actually clear himself and prove that he hasn't been cheating?

I'm all for Sunil being tested anyway. His most effective deliveries are his carrom ball flicked out of the front of the hand which he clearly doesn't chuck and the off break which I believe is clean. I have however watched his quicker ball a few times over the last year and winced because there was an obvious kink in the action.

Get his action assessed. If, as I and the umpires suspect, everything is legal apart from the quicker ball, then ban him from bowling that delivery and move on. If anyone truly believes Narine's action is as bad as Ajmal's you are watching a different bowler to me.

If he was "cheating" he would have been called whilst playing for WI already just like Shilly has been TWICE. A quicker ball can be a risky business...so i suspect he'll look to either slow it down a tad to get better control or put it away altogether. He's only used it on occasions in t20s and i just thank God he won't have to "remodel" his entire action like Shilly has had to.
