I can tell you now that this does happen at one forum I run, and does not at another. There's obviously something that one of the forums is doing that the other isn't. If I find out what that is, I'll let you know. *digs around the vB forums*

EDIT: The three things I've come up with are...
1) The link that Slow Love came up with.
2) Upgrade to vB3.6.0 - it has improved captcha which will help, hopefully a fair amount.
3) This might also be of interest.

Look, may as well bring up this old chestnut. You think after the success of the anti spam thing you did we could have private mesages turned on, for a week trial at least? Would make things alot easier, time zones really mess things up with MSN and stuff.
