Anyone else liking the Blues at the moment? I like the onball unit of Stevens, Scotland, Murphy, Bentick. I think Simpson, Fisher and Waite are all improving really quickly and are already good players. Finally looking like a competitive team. One question - where's Josh Kennedy? Is he still injured?

Who else stopped at the first sentance?

Hahaha. How about Burton's first quarter?

Four goals, two of them bounced through from outside 50, one rolled through from the boundary line in one pocket, and the other he leaves the ball on the ground, runs around the behind post, picks it up again and snaps his fourth. Then he gets a sitter of a set shot from 30 and misses it.

Anyway, Melbourne have to be the worst coached team in the AFL, or close to it. What the hell was Daniher doing that term? Melbourne kick 2 of the first 3 goals, with good run in the midfield, and Burton kicks a freak goal so he shoves everyone behind the ball and every forward entry for them from then on just bounces into open space. First quarter in an even game and at times there was nobody in Melbourne's forward 50 at all.

Then Melbourne have no options going forward, so they chip it around and turn it over repeatedly. Stupid.

Burton's my captain in my dream team, not the CW league but another league where I have $100 invested in. Loving this

Good match in the end, in terms of score at least.

The most frustrating thing with Melbournes behind the ball tactic is the fact that their forward line is one of the best in the league. So many options. Neitz and Robertson are a given but then you have Yze, Greene, Pickett and Bruce all rotating there. Bruce is pretty much a 'by neccesity' thing cause at the moment he doesnt have the fitness to run it out in the midfield.

I'd like to see Robertson and Neitz in the forward 50 alone, pickett playing a shallow forward pocket and just running fluently through there, that is unless the opposition drops massive numbers into the Melbourne forward line.

Having said that, it was a god showing by the Dees. Melbournes Nathan Brown is a gun.

Adelaide played some shocking football at times in that game. They totally let it go at the end of the second term, and most of the last quarter was awful, with only Goodwin, Burton and Ricciuto really standing up under pressure. Pretty good to be able to win when you don't play that well though, and a few players had awesome games. Perrie is playing very well so far this season at CHF, and Goodwin and Ricciuto are on fire.

Melbourne were very good, aside from the first quarter.

How awesome was Nathan Brown!!! Amazing game considering Danniher dropped him last week (much to the frustration of my CW league Dream Team).

But it was obviously the right move because he came out with something to prove and almost won the game for them.

Lets face it, he's the best Nathan Brown in the league...

Hmmm.
