Struggled with injuries towards the end there. Hale needs a spell in the twos.

Good news is Robbie Tarrant played his first game back from injury for Werribee 2's and booted 3 on limited TOG. Should see him at some point this season

Glad the Saints won.

Hoping for their and the Cats' copybook to remain unblemished all the way through to their Round 14 face-off.

I don't think he has a chance in hell of getting the gig for next year, unless he does something absolutely extraordinary. Even if he does do something extraordinary, chances are they will have appointed a big name before then anyway.

Apparently he was chosen for this year as his elevation will cause the least disruption.
'big name' coaches are behind the times. The game has surpassed the Malthouses, the Sheedy's, and now the Wallace's of the game.

Look at the more successful clubs these days:
Clarkson
Thompson
Voss
Ratten

Richmond need someone recently out of the game to coach them next year. If they name some old hack, I will no longer be supporting them.

Wouldn't call Brisbane and Carlton successful yet. Both haven't made finals in 4 years, and whilst they both should make the 8 this year, Ratten isn't a 'successful' coach yet, and Voss is having a good first 10 rounds sure, but bit premature to call him a success.

Thompson has been at Geelong a decade or close to it right? He was picked quite young.

Clarkson is the poster boy of the young coach. Interesting that they went with Rawlings rather than any of the assistant coaches who were in the box on Friday night (Campbell, King etc.)

Want to get as far away as Wallace as possible

Adelaide have never missed the finals under Craig and he's not out of the game recently. I don't really buy that Ratten for example is a more successful coach.

Carlton are tagging Daniel Rich ahead of Luke Power.

Talk about respect! Will be interesting to see how he goes under a hard tag.

Pretty evenly matched game at the moment. Carlton have been pretty inaccurate though have used the ball pretty well, especially in defence. Pretty worried about Brown though, can break the game right open. Fev's goal kicking is also bit of a concern, need to make the most of our chances.

Genuinely surprised at this match. Didn't think Carlton would dominate like this.

Drummond's injury was crucial.

Black tackling Judd was so cool. Two absolute champions.

Fev's been a star. Brennan doing everything with one hand is

Huge win, probably our best of the year. Judd was brilliant.

We nearly threw it away at the end. Such an exciting final quarter. If Brown would have kicked straighter...

Feel for Fev, just can't get past 8.

So frustrating, twice we've given Carlton a reasonable lead, and twice fallen short in the final quarter. How 'bout playing well from the start please :(

Can't wait till we get 1/2 of Berger, Charman, Merritt & Patfull back, missing them heaps imo.

Jeez. This Essendon/Adelaide game is top notch. There's been some brilliant passages of play, and this last 15-20 minutes is going to be nailbiting 100-98 to Essendon at the moment.

Surprised Rioli is injured as only players in my Supercoach team seem to get injured :censored: whilst all my low$ subs play well when they aren't coming on :@
