Damn it Tigers. Good effort from Richo and Tucky, but we looked the goods at half time from what I heard (unfortunately couldn't watch due to work :( ) but the Dogs beat us in the second half. :(

Both Adelaide vs Collingwood and Geelong vs West Coast look like very one sided contests rights now, with the cats 46 points clear at half time and Adelaide 45 clear late in the 2nd.

Looks like Subiaco game next week might have the minor premiership on the line.

Lol, the "afl.com.au Insider":

Saturday: Went to the MCG tonight and boy, what a game! There was real quality in both these teams: they were fast, hard at it, moved the ball well and showed great skills. It was a tight, tense game and a real pleasure to watch. In the end, though, New Zealand just proved too strong for Papua New Guinea. Then Collingwood and Carlton took the field and the standard dropped right off so I went home.

Yeah, Geelong up by 66 and Adelaide up by 85.

Collingwood have been absolutely woeful, and when you consider that Adelaide has 2 goals 7 on the board halfway through the first term, it could be a lot worse. 16 goals to 3 before three quarter time.

I was pretty proud of myself after tipping Freo to down St.Kilda, but now the WC have ruined my chances of tipping the footy card :@

110 points in the end for Adelaide, and 76 for Geelong.

Couple more big games tonight, with all four teams playing for a finals place.

Adelaide have won 12 out of 13 now, and with the chance for two home finals and a style of play fairly well suited to the finals, they have to be a major chance for the flag.

Amazing results this round so far. West Coast were pathetic today. Geelong were outstanding, no doubt about it, but boy that's not the West Coast we've seen most of the year. They're not good travellers, but that's even worse than one expected. I tipped West Coast.

How good was Nathan Ablett's first half? Amazing! And it was great to see the great Gary Ablett watching in the stands.

Real fight on for the last few postions of the eight port, brissy, geelong, freo and the dogs all in with a chance for 6,7 and 8

Yes! Geelong are in fo sho! It was a performance that reeked of our attitude last year, hard tough contested football, something that has been lacking this year in our quest to score more goals. Nathan Ablett is fantastic for the side, simply because his name often attracts a good defender anyway, and opens up someone like Kingsley or Playfair to get on top of a lesser opponent. I think WC defence is being shown up a little too - it has looked so good for the whole year simply because of their midfield's dominance. Not saying it's poor, but much of it's success can be laid at the feet of their gun centremen.

MELBOURNE! MELBOURNE!

Jeff White, absolutely brilliant. Same with Nathan Brown. Fantastic.

Brad Johnson dropping that mark proves costly!

And it looks like we've seen the end of the Brisbane era of dominance with Port downing them tonight. Brown and Aker were definitely not fully fit. Still, brilliant performance by Tredrea, Kane Cornes, Chad Cornes and Stuart Dew and Port are a good chance to make the 8 now.

Gee, Jeff White has to hope he will never get bumped again after going down tonight.

What an absolute ****ing disgrace.
DEMONS! DEMONS! DEMONS!

There was worse staging from Scott West earlier, threw his head back like he'd been shot when he hadnt been touched

Besides, White's was fair enough, the Bulldogs player put him out of the contest, illegal in a ruck contest, I thought the Umps did a good job last night, especially Robbo's free for being sheparded out

You would think the umpiring was fair, cause we were ****en cruicified.

Amazing how two nights in a row, the team that had its coach complain about umpires got EVERY SINGLE ****ING 50/50 free paid against them.

White charged at Skip, he was barely holding his ground.

The umpires have to show some consistancy, if you pay the 50/50s, you pay them to BOTH teams.

Well then lay the blame with Rodney Eade, i think he's a good coach, but if he's going to attack the umpires, then you have to expect you'll get less favours the next week, it's not as if coaches have been allowed to abuse the umps until this year.

You can't fully blame the umpires, what about Brad Johnson's dropped mark in the final couple of minutes, or Cooney's hesitation in the back pocket, resulting in that smother from Aaron Davey, the players lost you the game more than the umpires did, but everyone's quick to blame anyone but themselves for a loss, look at Mick Malthouse a couple of weeks back, and did it win him any respect or praise? no. Just move on, players make a lot more mistakes in a game than umpires do

As for the 50/50 decisions, it wasnt THAT bad 22-16 in melbournes favor, but Will Minson gave away to or 3 50 m penaltys, compared to recent weeks, the standard of umpiring was quite high

Opener to Swannies.

I reckon their heritage jerseys were awesome. I prefer the 'mainly white' to the 'mainly red'.

Second to Swannies.
