Haha take that Blues :p

The Blues vs. Cats game was played at an awesome pace for 1 1/2 quarters. It was end to end stuff and looked like it was going to go right down to the wire. Then Carlton just died.

Collingwood went alright tonight, they needed someone like Rocca to stand up in the forward to win the match in the final quarter, and that never happened. WC had too many midfield contributors for Collingwood, Braun would be seen as a much better player if he played at a poor club.

Collingwood didn't get the ball inside 50 for like 10 minutes straight in that last quarter.

fremantle are crab
Wouldn't read into it that much at this early stage. I don't think they know how to cope with being labelled as one of the frontrunners for the Premiership pre-season, as they have never been in that situation before, come round 6 or 7 I think alot of us will be singing their praises again. A lot of good teams have started successful seasons in this fashion in previous years, also.

Some good footy from Adelaide that half. Forward line looks nothing like it did last week, with Stevens and Bock having a great time, and Welsh getting a couple too. Actually, Bock was brilliant for a while there, looking like a future star. Van Berlo looked good again in the middle too, along with McLeod, Edwards etc. Pretty dire from the Dogs though, falling apart under pressure in the second term. Game would be over now if Adelaide had kicked straight.

Leaving aside how well he played today, Bock reminds me so much of Carey when he's playing forward. Same build, and the way he kicks and runs just channels him. Especially given the fact that Carey played at Adelaide a bit before he retired, it's uncanny sometimes.

Anyway, good performance today. Forward line was dominant, and McLeod, Bassett, Edwards and Goodwin all had big games. Better signs for the rest of the season.

Dogs and the Saints next week should be awesome.

Adelaide paying over 3.00 was so tempting, and usually I would have got on, but without Burton, and I also thought Goodwin wasn't playing, it felt a long shot. Damn.

They played really well, McLeod tore Aker a new asshole in his 250th. Two of my favourite players of all time lining up on each other, was great to see.

I hope McLeod can turn it on all season and have one last crack at the Brownlow.

Because you were downright **** last year.

Great win today though, because Freo didn't play too badly. They were just outplayed.
Danger game vs Carlton next week, these are the games we always tend to lose

Scotty Lucas is such a champ.

Edit: Thought i'd change my avatar to the next gun KPP/Ruckmen, just turned 19 yrs old

People doubted my optimism of Essendon why?

Gun team....
Probably because no one predicted how quickly Ryder would come on, what kind of impact Davey and Jetta would have, and that Scotty Lucas would still play so well with Lloyd back in the team. The signs are looking good, but there are quite a few lower to mid range players in the team that make the side look pretty fragile, so a slip up probably won't be too far away.

I have Ryder in my dream team, despite bagging the crap out of him all year last year to my Essendon mates.

Just had a feeling

He only cost $100k. He's value for money, and is great back up in the ruck. Saves around $50-100k to be spent elsewhere, and he'll definitely go up in value allowing him to be traded off for someone else as a cash cow.
