lol, seriosuly though, Matthews has been gun at recruiting and has imo one of the best group of young players in the competition. Rischitelli, Sherman, Adcock, Stiller, Harding, Brennan & Merritt were fantastic tonight, add to that the performances of Brown, Black & Power and it was a great all-round performance. Even better, is that the team can only improve with Charman, Lappin, Selwood & Hadley still to return to the team

Top 8 is a definite possibility if they have a decent run with injuries

He's good, but he's no Shermanator. No he was pretty awesome last night actually.

Still pissed about the licensing laws, just went out to try and get some beers and not even the casino is open. Whats wrong with this city?

HMmmmmmm, i honestly don't think the Tigers are going to be the pushovers many thing they will be this year. Get Simmonds & Brown back and they'll do well, not top 8 material yet, but they're looking as if they'll give a number of the top teams a run for their money.

Argh, again having a friggin' dud draft pick and a recruit who was supposed to play key position defence in the ruck cost us a match. Polak was gallant, but never stood a chance.

Put any friggin' first choice ruckman from any other AFL team in that Richmond line-up today, and we would have won.

Ah well, Everitt was too good for Polak in the end, too much experience in the ruck. We need Troy Simmonds back so badly.

Foot Skills & Teamwork won out in the end, although there was a lot of good signs for the Tiges.

That's the thing though, a great, well-drilled team with great foot skills and a very smart ruckman almost lost to a dumb team with no decision making ability at all, very little foot skills if any and no ruckman. Frustrating for Tigers fans, because if we had any class at all in the team, just a little, and we would have taken the game by the scruff of the neck in the last quarter and won.

Also, what the hell was with the umpires today? One week they're calling holding the ball like they get paid everytime they ping a player, and this week they put the whistle away completely, and the holding the ball rule was non-existent. The AFL is a laughing stock with **** like this. Its clear they gave the umpires a talking over after last week, and now they've completely over-compensated.

One of the worst run leagues, honestly. Tribunal/Match review, unclear umpiring interpretations , changing the rules every year, its a disgrace.

We actually looked really good tonight. Was worried that a very inexperienced back line would be crushed by Gehrig, but the ugly bastard didn't kick a goal, so they did really well. Rischitelli is the next star midfielder, you heard it here first.

Stiller's got more star potential, but Rischitelli will be a very good 200 game player.

Swan's struggled a bit today, and the Tigers were unlucky with a few umpiring decisions. Still, good to get over the line even playing pretty poorly.
