Break the rumour down to its most simplest form and that was alluded to on a Geelong board I visit two months ago.

It's taken a few weeks for a collaborative 'chinese whispers' effort from the script writers of days of our lives, the bill, home and away, neighbours and mile high to add the required sensationalism for the press to dig around and report on it.

Thompson stepping down would be a good result though.

The point is that all those guys are in the starting team, or close to it, so you can hardly question the depth of the side. Hart was one of the best players in the team until be broke his arm this year, incidentally, and Hudson was a star last season.
