He'll only spend one or two weeks out. He's too classy to keep down in the magoos for too long. Same sort of thing they do with Steve Johnson - both seem to need ego checks a bit too regularly.

Hello lads - I've just started watching the one-hour highlight show which airs on Tuesday nights here - and catching the occasional live game on a Saturday afternoon. I was watching the match which would have started at 2pm last Saturday (July 1) and the commentators were complaining about a runner who spent about five minutes on the field. Any idea what happened to him? Did he get suspended?

Haven't heard anything about it but I would doubt it. When that sort of stuff happens they warn the club, then fine them, if it keeps happening it's a suspension. Happened to John Barnes the Essendon runner last year, he was on the field for ridiculous amounts.

The guy got a $5000 fine. He was the runner for Port Adelaide. He even picked up the ball at one stage, which (even though he was just returning it to his own player who took a mark) is a cardinal sin for runners.

The bloke who runs out messages from the coach to the players. He's supposed to do it away from the ball, but recently there's been runners blocking players deliberately and stuff, so it's come into the spotlight a bit. As well as some runners remaining out on the ground for ages, virtually coaching on the ground telling all the players where to go to as the game is being played.
