That was fun to watch.

So many Essendon fans live where I live, this is going to be a fun weekend.

Sheedy is absurd. So stubborn about his anti-flooding/keepings off stance that he insisted on going man on man in defence in the second half while Adelaide racked up 30 goals. Hentschel, Ricciuto, Burton and McGregor had 37 marks and 19 goals between them, which says it all about the defensive tactics really. It's one thing to stick to your guns, another to utterly humiliate your side just to make a point.

Anyway, the great thing about the Adelaide side this year is that so many of the normal squad players are playing out of their skins. Aside from the rising players like Hentschel,. Van Berlo and Reilly, the likes of Burton, Johncock, Massie and Doughty are playing the best seasons of their careers. That takes a heap of pressure off Ricciuto, allowing him to play forward, and also off Goodwin, McLeod and Edwards, who can rotate around easily enough without weakening the midfield. It's easily the deepest side in the AFL, and the injury cover is immense, which might make a big difference at the end of the year.

If you go by that method no one deseves to win, both sides have played very poorly at stages. Eagles let Geelong get 54 points up in the first place.

To come back from 54 down deserves a win much more than letting a 54 point lead be squandered.

OH MY GOD GEELONG! Made to look like an idiot, thanks Geelong.

I can't believe that. Rex Hunt kept saying it all day to be fair. He said there's always enough time for Geelong to let that win go. He was kidding, but it turned out to be true!

Well done Eagles you champions.

Bomber Thompson must be as shattered as possible.
