With Collingwood on the top of the ladder I'm giving up on football. Might take up an American sport like NFL or Baseball. This is just too much.

Guys, can some of you explain how the AFL seems to be able to seamlessly assert the game has been going 150 years, cos I can remember about 10 or so years ago the centenary of AFL?

Seems a bit odd is all..

Game got invented 150 years ago, the competition got invented 110 years ago.

Again, AFL is not the sport. AFL is the league. Aussie Rules is the sport.

Yeah I get that Aussie Rules is the sport, but the comms are referring to the AFL/ VFL.. The comp hasn't been going that long though, has it?

In other news, Carlton have been terrible.

Bit better this quarter and the Swans have been fantastic, but Jeez Carlton - just horrendous.

Edit: seen it all now _ Chris Judd run down in open play by a Swans player. Never thought I'd see that.
