Those things did happen. You can point to anything that happens in a Test match and say it shouldn’t have. We scored more runs than Australia.
What people are saying is some of those like the stokes knock was one of a life time occurrences. This is the one universe eng won it so fair play but there could be millions in which they don't

Okay Aussies. I think the hype about Green is definitely justified. Really wanted an Aussie loss here for WTC but wont be happening.

We got away with it on 09 though.
Most recent English Ashes series have had misleading scorelines IMO

2009 Aus were probably the better team overall but England won (or drew) the moments more influential to the scoreline
2013 England clearly the better team but 3-0 wasn't a fair representation
2015 Scoreline flattered the Aussies
2019 Aus easily the better team deserved more than 2-2
