Smith’s leaving them so comfortably. He’s in a good space atm, knows that he’s not in yet so he won’t have a go at bouncers.

That shot where he stands back with his legs straight and plays it out towards square leg reminds me so much of the stuff I've watched from really old batsmen like Hobbs etc.
The joys of playing it really late and under your eyes like in the good ol' days

That was pathetic from Head. You need a forward defence m8, that was just a straight ball on the stumps that was doing nothing. Not the first time he's missed a straight one either.

I know that camera is out of line, but I wonder how that went wrt to leg stump. Probably umpires' call at worst.

Yeah. Poor dismissal. Not like it hooped around a corner.

I really wonder what Ntini would do to modern day batsman, given how barely any of them seem at all equipped to play a bowler doing something as simple as angling it in from wide on the crease and seaming it away. Bumrah and now Broad.

350 is actually quite a way away at this stage I think, considering Paine's tendency to score **** all.

What is up with left handers struggling with around the wicket bowling? Not just this series. Is it the drs, where less lbws were given in the past?
