Yeah that's more like it. He'll probably see off the new ball and be invincible for the next 10.

it was in sydney lol

steve smith was bumrah's first ever international wicket
Yeah that's why I'm puzzled why I don't remember it. I guess mid-cycle ODIs really are that unmemorable.

EDIT: Holy **** though, that "attack". MMarsh at first change...

They get to choose from the same boxes uimm.
You'd hope so (not that our lot would be any good at choosing any way). I remember reading a story once about NZ being caught switching out the match balls with an especially dark lot once. Not only are they harder to see, but it's thought that they swing more too.

Jofra, mate. You’re bowling too short. You’ve been reading too much of your own press. Pitch it up ffs

Around the wicket to the right hander with the new ball is not exactly a common strategy. Actually, I can only think of Mike Procter who used it. Still, whatever floats your boat.

Move square leg in front of the popping crease, put in a leg slip and have some real leg theory. That's just a gift otoh.

i definitely remember missing this ODI, i can't remember what i was doing but i remember missing marsh's ton
Like I feel I should remember this, somehow, but I just have zero memory of it at all
OH ****, i remember now thanks to mycricket. i was making a duck
ok so bearing in mind we won the premiership this specific season, we rolled a mid-table team for 109, we lost our fourth wicket on 109 so in strolls ajdude. must've been the end of the over or something cause we passed their score but we go 10 runs over just in case someone (usually me) ****ed up the books. old mate right arm party pies comes around the wicket to me (also a right hander) when we're on 112, i attempt a flick to fine leg (my bread and butter) but it came off my pad onto the stumps, and old mate proceeds to give me the biggest send off i've ever received. i was so baffled all i could give him was "mate we've already won the ****ing match". much better than an MMarsh ODI ton tbh

More evidence, were any needed, that our captain is somewhere below clueless. It's basically a white flag tactic; our bowlers aren't good enough to take his wicket using normal methods, so we try this nonsense.
