4th Test at Old Trafford, Manchester

Flem274*

123/5
I guess, but this Warner isn't the real Warner. He might do better at home but at this point he's getting close to unpickable.
warner and a deck chair will always be better than two deck chairs

he's woefully out of nick but you've got to show faith in your second best batsman when his best is light years ahead of your third best batsman.

So Harris has gone from being left out of this Test by most, to your first choice opener in the space of 4 balls?

heh like pretty much all the rest of the batsmen?
Smith, Head and Labuschagne have all done OK this series. I suppose given Wade and Harris are still playing he's a little safer but even then Harris has only had two bad innings compared to six.

Geez that's right in Harris' zone. Bowl him bumpers if you want to be rid of him.

Not that far away from the real Warner. Apart from Bangladesh I don't think he's scored a ton outside Oz since 2014; him being a home-track bully pretty much a constant for him now.

Yeah I suppose. Just a question of whether he actually is our second best batsman away from home.

He's lucky that after The Oval the next few Tests are at home where he's always done well and I agree, not picking him in those is stupid.

Broad is getting these massive off-cutters going at will. He's turning it nearly as much as Nathan Lyon but at 85 mph!

Warner really doesn't know how to bat when the ball isn't coming on to the bat. He likes it true and fast and can't really handle other conditions well.
