Unlike the game against Australia he hasn't really come back at all. I know he is only one over into his 3rd spell but disappointing day for Southee.

I think most would forgive his first two overs, pitching it up to search for swing and getting smashed by some superb hitting from Gayle. But the follow up was pretty poor. It was clear he wasn't getting swing and he should have been using it as death bowling practice.
