It's definitely an 18C violation if Siraj files a formal complaint with the AHRC (assuming it was actually a racist comment and can be proven etc).
Neither do you. What we know right now is that siraj feels its racist. And "world has gone soft" seemed to imply that he should get on with it even if he has actually been the subject of racist abuse.
