They probably are tbh. Though it’s arguable this attack is better than Australia’s of that era, in terms of relentlessness
This is the on-paper best attack we've fielded since the heady days of peak Johnson and Harris IMO

Way worse. That side at least had guys like Atherton, Thorpe, Stewart, even Hussain, who are all well ahead of any English bat that isn't Root. I also feel like Hick would do better in today's climate too.
Yup. Throw in Robin Smith and Mark Butcher at either end of the decade too.
