What a summer Archer is having. World Cup winner, then first fivefer coming in a crucial Ashes match.

Australia scored twice of what they were expected to lol.

Would've loved seeing Smith and Richardson here. Bugger.

Well my prediction the ashes were already won while Warner and laub took the piss. Was maybe premature.

Hell of a turnaround. Watch England be 50-5 tomorrow lunch.

Arguably worth the 80 run trade off for not being 40/5 at close which we would have been if we'd gone out to bat tonight
Bit like getting a confidence boosting win against Bolton under 5's while most of the rest of the division will end up playing a proper team.

In spite of him rolling thru us, it's seriously good to have Archer in cricket. Has ignited the series really. 1st test seemed pretty pedestrian but he has made it something else since coming in.

Australia are gonna have to work seriously hard to win the Ashes from here, but it's doable. Good test cricket imo

Now to see the smugness wiped off Archer's face....
Leaving aside the 6-fer, I reckon you’ve got him wrong, mate. He’s a calm, quiet, modest young chap devoid of arrogance or smugness. He clearly has a (justified) belief in his ability but that doesn’t make him a dick.

Probably a better score than I'd have expected given conditions and the line up, but disappointing after getting to 2/130 odd. We'll get a 40 odd run lead on the first innings given the attack we have in and England's line up. Expect to be batting again by tea day two, but should have scrapped to 250 from where we were.

Looking forward to some extended highlights, but good on Archer. Sounds a terrific spell second up. Seen the dismissals - Head copped a good 'un and Wade unlucky, but you have to find a way after a decent platform was laid.

Good from Warner and Marnus. The latter really looking the goods, and making it easy to drop the Pillow, whose ability to go missing when needed most is second to none. Deadset the worst number three Australia has had since they played Josh Dugan in the centres a few years back. Hopeless. Flat out hopeless. Sure the dismissal last night was unlucky, but he finds a way to get out all the time, and it's the most important spot in the line up - 1 fer usually isn't a big deal, 2 fer always is. Has to go unless he makes a ton second dig. Marnus to three, TPC in at four.
