Part of it is Warner is just really good at finding ways to score quickly beyond just scoring boundaries, but part of it is bowling too short. Too easy to work runs square of the wicket either side. Not sure how we've been this expensive in such good conditions tbh. Losing us the game at the moment though.
Struggled to control the swing. Not sure how we've been this expensive in such good conditions tbh. Losing us the game at the moment though.
I can't say I've spotted too many great deliveries from Stokes. Most have been Ok but enough haven't been to keep the board ticking over. He's just been very ordinary with the ball in this series.Stokes spraying it around as usual. Getting a fair bit of swing, some great deliveries, but not enough discipline
Had that wide where second slip jumped out of the way too. He's not even bowled too badly. These overthrows would embarrass a village team. People will look at Woakes' figures and wonder how he's been so expensive, but he's had at least two overthrown fours from brain-dead fielding.
I think this is true. There's been way too much talking up of their chances because of Smith's absence. It smacked of hubris at the time and it's sure looking that way now.Really feels like England have rocked up just sort of assuming that Australia would fold like a pack of cards through no particular effort on their behalf. Doesn't feel like there's much of a plan or consistency of method when it comes to how they want to exploit the conditions.
Absolutely, these two are certainly both sharp between the stumpsThe running has been outstanding though. Made ~15-20 runs out of nowhere.
Yup, that was the other one I was trying to remember.Had that wide where second slip jumped out of the way too. He's not even bowled too badly.
