Test cricket needs more 4th innings chase, in the past couple of years team batting first have won too many times.
But still aussies are favourites.

Imagine if we had a bloke averaging the best part of 65 coming back for the next Test. Pull your head in, seriously.
I mean, you'll be adding a 65 average batsman to the lineup.
It didn't help in India which was sort of my point (from memory Smith had a stinker in that Test).

I know one win = Ashes. But losses like these hurt mentally.

I just need even one good over and I'll probably calm down. I just get really emotional.

This is Benglaruru 2.0. Look good coming in, dominate for a significant part of the Test and blow it with a crazy half an hour

I don't care what Spark said, I cannot see how we can win another Test here if we lose this one.
Test to test momentum just isn't that much of a thing IMO. It's basically two fresh starts after this regardless of what happens.

Tbh this series deserves the urn to still be on the line going into the 4th test. Best Ashes since 2009 at least so far.

Just catching up now and wow. I didn’t think they’d take the new ball, at least not until England demonstrated an ability to get the old one off the square.

i feel like the bouncers can be pretty much put away, they're just kinda sitting there and float through slowly

Yep....remember England getting smashed so often in there home series over the years by India and South Africa?

They pretty much always came back next test and smashed it.

Wasn't it Ravi who dropped Cook which was a massive moment a few years ago?
