You are usually negative but I do agree with you this time. I think if we scrape through to the semis and get our inevitable beating, it will be far worse in the long term as this complacency will continue. Stead, kane and co will just say, "well, we're the little guy, yet we made it to the semis, we are such underdogs who punch above their weight aren't we such tough little cookies?" Been playing cricket for 90 years and we are underdogs...yeah great.

A hiding against england plus teams like bangladesh or pak qualifying in our place will do our future much better. At least it will wake us up from this play test match cricket in odi's mentality. Its a shame that every now and then they will still walk into an interview or press conference and say that this team are carrying over that aggressive brand of cricket from 2015 to now. Bull****

Australia look good, their middle order may be weak in relative terms but it's still far better than India's. Today's recovery and the one against WI was pretty impressive, if India lose 5 before hundred's up, they're toast.

Do we actually deserve semis? Took us quite some effort and luck to scrape past lowly, mid-table teams. Lost to a mid-table team just recently, and being bossed around by a top class side. On the evidence of last 3 years, this isn't a surprise at all.

I think that is what most of the NZ followers have been worried about. Especially last summer. They just seemed to have a squad that they wanted to play into form, rather than find the best squad.

Funny enough, at least they finally made a couple of changes last night.

Latham has probably been worse than Munro this WC but you don't really want to chop and change your wicketkeeper.

I think Blundell coming in for latham is just a sensible move at this point. Nicholls should stay. Sodhi/Henry...meh..take your pick lol. Pretty uninspiring nonetheless.
