2nd Test, Lord's, London

What is a Lords slope?
A gradient that runs across the ground from left to right...or vice-versa depending on which end you are viewing the game from...

If you look at the middle of the pitch you will see a sort of parabolic shape...where the vertex is at means that it is lower at that point compared to the arms... That's what I think. I have never been to the ground before. Those who have will give you a better answer than mine.

First slip should never have to go low left

Worst I’ve seen Paine keep. Having a bad day.

International Captain
I can't see much coming from our last five so 250 could still be okay here.

Paine, Cummins, Siddle, Lyon, Hazlewood means 50-60 at most

It’s a 300 deck. Been a good decision to bowl first in a four day test imo. Like they said, idea is to bowl them out today and only bat once. About the only way to win a four day test

I mean if the logic was “they’re ****, let’s shoot them out and finish this before tea tomorrow as a contest” then sure. I think if anything though the extravagant turn makes it even more contestable a decision, objectively.
I think the opposite

They want to bat once

Smith looks to have changed his action, looks more Kumble than Warne now.
