2nd Test at the MCG, Melbourne, 26 Dec - 30 Dec 2020

International Captain
Some under the radar milestones for this Test:

(1) this is the 100th Test between India and Australia

(2) only 15 times in history has a country had 7 Test wins in a row. This Australian team will join them if they win here.

(3) India tryng to avoid their 4th loss in a row, not sure how that stacks up in history...

Name three upcoming fast bowlers?
Dont include jhye Richardson, i have seen enough of him.
Xavier Barlett, Lance Morris and jhye Richardson if u want young guys. If you don't want jhye because "you've already seen him" Will Sutherland is also very talented.

India specialist batting lineup to no5. That’s risky. Where’s the 6th specialist batsman. Jadeja isn’t one and pants a keeper bat at 7. Having one less specialist batter and no Virat Kohli is extremely risky selecting against the best pace bowling attack since the 1980s.

It is quite cynical (but potentially accurate) thinking that the technique of most Indian specialist batsmen abroad (e.g. in England, NZ, South Africa or Australia) is no better than Jadeja who at least has some grit about him. If India continue to get rolled over for joke scores, I wouldn't be surprised if they call up Pandya as a batsman.

EDIT: Just realised my profile picture from my cancer treatment in 2011 - feels like a lifetime ago!!

Whatever it takes!!!
A wonderful and logical response to being bowled out for 36 after the bowlers gave you a first innings lead is to subtract a batsman and add another spinner. In Australia. This is gonna go over real well.
Yeah not like pitches or anything should be taken into consideration when selecting teams...

Who's this Siraj chap? What's he like?
A generally like-for-like replacement for Mohammad Shami (unproven obviously but better than decent returns at domestic), but with an action like Mohammad Sami. Can get it to move out like those two too.

I think he's going to upset a fair few people when he bowls a few at 125-130kph during the course of the match!
