It's starting to look more and more like he's just not that good tbh. Weird for a guy with such a good FC record at such a young age. But at 23 he's running out of time to fall back on the "He's young and still developing" defense.

He looks great against pace, and actually played Lyon much better in the first innings at Brisbane too - he'd visibly been working on it but he's fighting his instincts so much. I don't think it's that surprising that someone who can't play quality spin might have accumulated a great record in county cricket and scored a ton in South Africa tbh.
