Lyon is good and everything but hardly a bowler that should bamboozle a test batsman on a day 2 pitch.
Edit: day 3 but still, not much happening for the spinner. Lyon does an excellent job of keeping it tight, of course, but that was a terrible shot both in selection and execution.

The three bowlers who have dismissed him most in Tests are Ashwin, Lyon and Dilruwan Perera. Perera's on the podium despite having only bowled to him in three Tests - he's actually got him out 5 times and 6 innings, and the other innings he got out to Sandakan who also turns it away from him. A real weak spot.
He's made some big runs against Aus anyway but Lyon's always in the game against him, especially early on.

It's starting to look more and more like he's just not that good tbh. Weird for a guy with such a good FC record at such a young age. But at 23 he's running out of time to fall back on the "He's young and still developing" defense.
