It's not just the spinner, though. We've got opening bowlers who can be really good up front, but no-one who can be consistently tight after that (although Wood does at least pick up more wickets than he used to)

Don't really agree with this part. Wood has been fantastic and Plunkett's taken wickets in the middle since he's come in. Just hasn't happened today.

Reckon seeds planted for that dismissal the previous over. Carey was clearly frustrated that he played a few dot balls off Stokes and he let it get to him.
