The votes are in for this round and we have the tightest contest for the 25-27 positions.
31 - Anderson; 30 - Ashwin; 29 - Grimmett; 21 - Roberts; 9 - Bumrah; 4 - Rabada; 3 - Tayfield, Adcock, Jadeja;
2 - Lyon, Philander; 1 - Bedser.
In the biggest change to the 2022 rankings, Ashwin has climbed up 5 spots on the ranking of spinners while Grimmett has dropped 2 placings.
I expect more current players to feature as we enter the second half of the poll but also there are some big names yet to feature.
I declare voting now open for positions 28-30 and urge all interested members to participate in voting.
I will post the updated list with positions 1-27 as soon as I have completed it.

Looking at that table, I had thought Anderson was playing on to pass Warne’s wicket tally, but I think he might play on to pass Tendulkar’s number of tests. Which would actually be wonderful for the butt hurt it would cause

Obviously a pretty average bowler in the scheme of things but just extraordinary longevity.
