4 Tests against NZ? It's bad enough when they fall apart half way through the 2nd Test very tour

They'll probably be even more trash by 2026/27 too

GoodAreasShane

Cricketer Of The Year
Interesting treatment of Stockdale

Thought that he must’ve been injured as hadn’t been picked for a couple of games so looked him up

He’s been playing including this game

He’s rapid, a wicket taker & on target for another 60 wicket season
Fwiw I would definitely would have been playing him in all the seconds games, not sure why he missed a couple of the earlier ones either. Certainly made quite the impact for Northerns since he landed there, been getting them through even on a couple of the typically sluggish Salisbury decks.

Meanwhile for tomorrow's Shield game, Carey is indeed back as is Wes Agar, Drew drops out after his lean season to date. Intetesting question of who will bat 3, the most logical scenario is McSweeney slides up one place, think he has the game for it more so than anyone else in the 13 man squad but on the other hand he has performed so well at 4 that it would be a little bit of a risk to mess with that. Have a worrying feeling though they may be considering Liam Scott at 3 again, arguably set his career back a good year last time that was tried, certainly don't think that should be repeated. Lineup definitely looks light on for batting by my reckoning

Jhye Richardson is back 😀

Khawaja, Labushagne, Green, Carey and Lyon are the Test players getting a game. Warner, Marsh, Cummins, Hazlewood and Starc rested

Konstas at the crease

what is with young fellas being thrown in to bat 3 lately. Seems to be happening quite a bit

Jeez that’s a depressing list. Other than McSweeney and maybe Short how many of them do we think can develop into decent Australian cricketers?
Peirson is a better chance of serving a few consecutive years as wicketkeeper than Inglis I have to say.

As much as I love Carey for what he did to those grandstanding degenerates over the winter, he's definitely not long for this world.

It's the Cricketing version of graduating from university, get your first job and all of a sudden you're told you're managing a batting lineup and no you're not getting a raise, this is an opportunity for personal growth.

To summarize, Sangha and Henriques are cowards

And Wyllie is never getting a raise the poor scamp. Who'd want to bat 3 in the Shield anyway?

out of all the players that have debuted for NSW recently, he's clearly the best imo. Not that it means much atm
Well he just got out and it was ****ing terrible. Like Glenn Maxwell terrible.

Flat batted a half volley straight to cover

Fraser-McGurk on a good day terrible

The future of batsmanship in this country really is looking miserable

Shocked to see Webster turns 30 on Friday.

This means that of the top 10 run scorers this season, only McSweeney (24) and Renshaw (27) will be under 30

Well they've thrown him in at 3 here on an absolute dog track he's lucky to have lasted this long
Only seen 1 ball but that pitch looked very green

CA should have a word to these curators as serving up wickets where medium pacers dominate doesn't do the game any good

Yeah mystifying why curators love greentops so much at the domestic level. It’s the worst kind of pitch to develop players.
