It's pretty alarming that at this point you could make a semi-plausible case that Jack Edwards is our best player, lol.

Nisbet looks decent, so that's something.

Big win for the croweaters.

McAndrew's match figures of 10/61 are something to hang his hat on.

Waiting for Gas's reaction.
It might take a few days for him to accept this new reality.

Yeah it's officially entered that part of the season where I stop posting about the team and just cry in silence whenever we play.

You can look forward to my misplaced hope at the start of next season.

Definitely very happy to see South Australia get the win there, excellent effort from McAndrew and McSweeney especially, few other useful contributions here and there.

Am a bit concerned about the top of the order though, especially the opening partnership. Hunt has seemed a bit off ever since he had that stint in the captaincy, still backing him to come good again at some stage, but it is a little worrying. Smith has done about what I expected, not very much, but who realistically would replace him. Don't think based on last year Carder will be any better than a linear move, made 80odd in the 2nds just yesterday, yet failed in the first of those games. Kyle Brazell was opening alongside him, think he's a good young cricketer but perhaps not quite ready yet, didn't have a great season last year but by all accounts is coming off a strong preseason. Hope he can really kick on tbh, Tea Tree Gully lad too (although he did spend a couple of years playing for Uni) so that makes me want him to go well a bit more in of itself

Bowling looking far more encouraging. McAndrew was obvoiusly immense, Conway put in probably his best showing in a South Australia shirt, especially in the 2nd dig, Wes took a couple of vital early wickets and while Manenti had a bit of a quieter game but there wasn't much at all in the pitch on offer for him. Buckingham being out late was a shame, he definitely should come back in when fit imo, but his absense fortunately didn't hurt. Not sure how far Johnson is off being back, but when he is things are looking pretty healthy

He's just a mouthy **** on the field with dumb sledges, particularly right after being spanked for four.

Doesn't take kindly to fans being smart arses at the pub either, so I've heard, but nothing beyond that off field.
He's got fans?
