I definitely think Neser can consider himself somewhat unlucky not to get a game at the arse end of the most recent Ashes especially, but not on account of his batting

If he was going to get a game, it would have had to been as a frontline quick batting at 8 imo, there is a strong argument he could be considered one of the best bowling options for English conditions with his ability with the stick just being a handy bonus
Neser’ obvious strength is bowling but given that we have fielded some of the longest tails in recent memory lately, his batting should have been considered both against India and England

He now averages 29 with the bat in fc cricket so that’s fast approaching all round status

He's got 1000 fc runs @60 in the past 12 months. He's in monster format with the bat.

Neser is a genuine all-rounder now by any definiton. Many of us were saying at the time that not only should he have gotten a game in the Ashes, but he probably should have been one of the first picked

It's time Cameron Bancroft was given some positive recognition for his recent form. Last Shield season he topped the batting aggregate with 945 runs @ 59 with 4 centuries. This season his first knock yields another century and he took 5 catches.

Last season Neser averaged 35.70 in Shield (worthy of all-rounder status) while Labuschagne averaged 31.60 - neither stack up against Bancroft's recent Shield performances which is what I asked for.

In between that he didn't cross 50 in county or for Aus-A over ~20 innings. There's a reason people are ignoring the shield runs.
