2021 English Cricket Season

Nintendo

Cricketer Of The Year
NIce to see marnus back in the runs. 60* to see Glamorgan home and now 93* on blast debut to get Glamorgan so close to a win. If marnus can end this blast with a **** ton of runs ide rather him at 3 to Smith in the t20WC.

Does anyone know what's happened to the TV coverage of the Vitality Blast? Sky showing Pakistan Super League instead. I'd like to see our own league during our own season please!

Welcome return to the four day version today. I see that Sam Northeast has moved from Hampshire to Yorkshire. And that Conway is opening for Somerset.

Ngl Conway and Davies putting on a decent stand is heartening
Davies is interesting in many ways, of course started as a one-day specialist, but now looks positively pedestrian in that form, and has really stepped up with his batting in the longer form this season, and he's definitely looked the most solid opener we have had this year, but that maybe damning with ridiculously faint praise.

Conway is obviously exactly what we want as an overseas player, and should have gone for from the start of the year.

I genuinely don't know when all this happened. Had no idea there were games today and then that Nick Gubbins seemed to playing for Hampshire for some reason, thought Northeast might be injured or something.

I was hoping that you might be able to shed some light on the Northeast move. It's hard to avoid guessing that there's been some sort of falling out there.

Surrey's habitual inability to shift opposition's lower order costing them again at Hampshire, with CDG helping himself to a hundred.

Interesting match at Northants, where Yorkshire's 159 looks like securing an unlikely first innings lead. I expected their quicks to have done the damage, but Dom Bess has taken four of the six wickets to fall. Once upon a time, Northants was regarded as one of more helpful wickets for spinners; I don't know whether that's still the case.

I had no idea Rikki Clarke was still playing. Good on him. I think he annoyed Richard so I've always had a soft spot for him.

I think that he annoyed a lot of people back in the day. A few weeks back, we had a discussion about an over 35's XI still playing in the CC, probably prompted by Darren Stevens' latest heroics. Clarke featured, of course. The general feeling was that it was better than one or two test sides.
