They could have just played it on Spark and Duke if they wanted to do that.I mean, isn't it better for it to be on youtube than on Spark since more people can watch it that way? And despite Spark having rights to it, they are opening it up to get more viewership?
Well that’s what it said here anyway: https://i.stuff.co.nz/sport/cricket...and-cricket-broadcasting-rights-for-six-yearsI don't think they said every Super Smash game would be televised did they?

I asked them about it on twitter when the schedule was announced and they said covid had meant they had to cut back.
In addition, TVNZ is partnering with NZC to provide live, free-to-air coverage on TVNZ 1 of the first T20 international of each men's and women's series, together with more than a third of the men's and women's Dream11 Super Smash competition on TVNZ 1 and DUKE channels.
I was meaning Spark since I watch Spark on tv, and they have the tv rights.that's not the television though which is what your post said
Canterbury could certainly have used Bruce Edgar to open and safely see off the first 18 overs.I'm kinda liking this, it's like a little taste of life in the early 80's. Kinda half expecting to flip on the news and see Muldoon chundering his guts out in the halls of the beehive.
And he probably never really moved to the second gear let alone the top gear. Good hit out though for Kane before Aussie series.Well ... Williamson looked like he was playing club cricket, despite facing a load of NZ bowlers.
