Excellent, so now W.A. will need to beat Qld outright to host the final. Qld will make their 7th final in a row, hopefully they won't lose their 3rd in a row.

Yeh, W.A. might not even make the final now if NSW beats Victoria. But if WA wins outright and NSW wins outright its WA vs. NSW at the WACA.

Match 27* of 30 P WO WI D LI LO T Points Quotient For Against
Queensland 9 6 1 - 1 1 - 40 1.026 4843 / 151 4971 / 159
Western Australia 9* 6 - - 1 1 - 36 1.229 5018 / 127 4888 / 152
New South Wales 9 5 2 - - 2 - 34 1.467 4869 / 127 4156 / 159
Victoria 9 4 - - - 5 - 24 0.957 4583 / 150 4566 / 143
Tasmania 9 1 - - 1 7 - 10 0.787 5092 / 166 5220 / 134
South Australia 9* 1 - - - 7 - 8 0.740 4034 / 174 4638 / 148

Current points table, with South Australia to move ahead of Tasmania on 14 points. So N.S.W. will have to win outright and hope W.A. don't get outright to be a chance of the final. Western Australia will have to win outright to host the final and hope that N.S.W. don't win outright to make the final. Queensland need 1st innings points to make the final, an outright win will guarantee that they host the final.

Yeah, I jumped the gun a little there, I just assumed that Tassie would get the runs. They should have just kept batting in the 2nd innings, considering it didn't matter (finals wise) if they got an outright victory.

Should be a fascinating round of cricket. Who would have believed 5 years ago that 40 points would not have secured a place in the final. As for WA winning at the Gabba - dream on! :D (Actually I think they have recovered very well from last year with an inexperianced attack)

I hope NSW win, it been such a great season so far, considering how many players we lost, hopefully we can finsh it off. Dispointed that Ed Cowen got over looked again, Krejza might be a very good off spin bowler, but he hasn't done much with the bat. If he bats at 7 he got to score more runs, but i guess his selection will be a good one if he takes a 5-fer on the last day and gets us into the final.

Qld in a strong but not comfortable position at 8/302. Batted fairly well on a tough pitch, some lose strokes, poor umpiring and rain saw them about 60 runs short. Would love to see them get 400, but 350 is more realistic. Dorey looks like he has a side strain and will be out for the match, Williams didn't look too healthy either, but he returned to the field, although not to bowl.

N.S.W. are doing their best to make the final, gee Victoria are crap.

Bevan breaking records everywhere, I'm sure England are checking if he is somehow available for them.

Ahhh... with Dorey and Williams injured now WA's only chance is to bat Queensland out of the game(which is highly possible). Although Hussey did do a great job as the "third seamer" taking 2-33. GO WA!.

Symonds threw his wicket away, and Phillipson was unlucky with a shocking decision, so it didn't come through good bowling.

Oh ok, i only saw the 2-33(11o) on the cricinfo scorecard so i presumed he bowled well.

QLD 354 all out (Seccombe 69, Symonds 62. Dorey 3/28, Hussey 3/49)

WA 0/24 (Rogers 12, Hussey 10)

Now 1/38. Hussey bowled by Dawes.

Jaques on the way to another hundred, they have a lead already and are only 2 wickets down.
