^To be fair though, the WA guys and Ponting wouldve had to travel away from home to play in their sides. The NSW, SA and QLD sides can keep their internationals at home, and still have them play.
Good call.

Hahaha... What a dismal performance from Tasmania. I'm sure they'll be completely spewing with Ponting now...

Well, they faced some pretty good bowling. Tait and Gillespie were fantastic.

What a shocking performance lately from the Queensland, aye it is time some of our big names pulled their finger out very soon. As much as I am a Martin Love fan, maybe a run in Brisbane Grade cricket won't hurt him and try and get his touch back. He is clearly out of form, and probably in so for a very long time, so why not?

Gillespie was, Tait was a little inaccurate and slow (compared to his normal pace), I thought.

A lot of them committed suicide. They should've got those 219 runs.

I wouldnt be surprised if alot of Victorians are bitter about their teams loss today, because of the way McGrath played. Fair enough, he only bowled ten overs, but no one else in the entire competition has had to face him, especially in the form he's in at the moment. NSW had nothing to gain, and Victoria had everything to lose.
It just doesnt seem all that fair, tbh.

You have pity for Victorians?

Didn't help on the SCG pitch either.

Ah well, don't really deserve a place in the final after the start to the season we had, anyway.

Love had a broken finger and and split webbing in his finger, and wasn't even playing in the recent match - he can't be blamed for the loss. He is a class batsman and he will be back with a vengance!

Life isn't fair get over it.

Their bowlers lost them the game, also their selectors have some quesitons to answer. White at 5? Any team would be confident knowing they only need 3 wickets and they're into the allrounders. I'm sorry, I know White is the captain, but if Warne is playing, he is not good enough to keep him out the side, and isn't good enough for a place as a batsman, if they want to win the Pura Cup they need to make the hard call.

but ian harvey is at 8. and white, while he may not look classical, continues to make runs for both aus a and victoria (against the best sides as well). he's definently earnt his spot. the man who should be dropped is moss - has been horrid in ING this year.

Could also use Rummans, Buchanan, Arnberger or Crosthwaite (altho ING is over, so no more of Adam)

They have been a bit of a bogey side over the last couple of matches. Interesting to see that the top three sides all lost their last match.

I can't Tassie giving Qld too much trouble on Sunday though going on Saturday's form.

Going on Qld's form too, I wouldn't be too confident backing either side.

I'd rather play a Victorian team with Warne, we usually win easily when he plays, when he doesn't we usually struggle. Victoria has been our bogey team of recent seasons, but it was due to happen, since we dominated them for over a decade.

don't think we'll see arnberger playing for too much longer. rummans has been alright this year, but i think that the selectors would prefer to be playing someone else. crosthwaite - he's only 20, thought they've handled him pretty well. don't know if buchanan is a complete enough cricketer to get a game - i'd just keep playing him in twenty20. watch for one or more of the following three names to get rookie contracts next year: harrison, mangan, finch.

queensland and tasmania deserve their place. i just hope that queensland don't paste them again. bevan has a fair bit of responsibilty, doesn't he?
